Hey All,
I just read a thread on a barrel racing forum that has a lot of people racing, no pun intended, to the feed store, etc. to buy black oil sunflower seeds. The ones who have used this use it with 2 tablespoons to 1 oz. of paprika and 1/2 to 1 cup sunflower seeds to increase the energy of their horses and the coat color (paprika).
I've read some of the threads here, but I didn't see black oil sunflower seeds or paprika in them, could there be something to this or is this just one of those passing fads? Can this hurt you horse? Colic? Ulcers?
Thanks,
KC

KC we just had a thread on this. I think its nothing new, but, i guess word gets going on the internet. don't start changing just because...

Now for me, i have been feeding my goats BOSS for about 2 years and noticed their coats are shinier and they eat less grain. and love it. My horse gobbles up what they don't and that is how i started noticing my horse was loving them too. Not sure about the paprika, but i do put a little cinnamon in my horses beet pulp periodically. You need to look up the benefits and see if it helps your horse.
