I have a horse who bleeds through lasex and amacar evry race.the horse is racing every week and has not been out of the money in his last eight starts,so he is really worth working on.he would probably be one of the best at this track if I could stop the bleeding completely. Can you suggest any medication that would be legal to race with or any kind of training program that would help this problem

We have tried lasix and clot-al, can't stop
the bleeding completely. In the cold last week he stopped dead. What is amacar? Have you heard of kogenate or streptokinase? If you get any info let me know, need to race but the bleeding needs to stop.

Have you ever tried feeding a Vit. K & Hesperidin product? It is supposed to help heal the capillaries, however, I would assume that the horse would have to be off a while in order for this to work.

Be careful with the Vitamin K -- too much causes kidney destruction, at least in humans.
