it says on the box,: in the animal safety section....
" Zimecterin Gold when tested at 1, 3, and 5-times the maximum recommended dose every two weeks in 5 month old foals, and at 10 times the maximum recommended dose in a separate study, did not elicit any adverse clinical signs of toxicity...."

My question is are they basing this on the weight a foal might be at five months old? OR are they basing this on the body development (liver, etc) and how its starts to function at this age... etc...
I am asking this odd question since i have mini now, i must base alot of my what to do scenarios on directions for foals, BUT.... does this mean because of the weight of the animal? or the fact that the body hasn't properly formed at a certain age? am i making any sense? My mini is 5 months old... but no where near the size of a full size foal at the same age. But at 5 months has her body developed the same as a normal sized foal?
of course this all is because i've over wormed my mini. (wormer gauge got away from me and i gave enough for 1000lbs and she is aprox. 200lbs...which is exactly 5 x the recommended dose...
and as i am having the horse week from hell... just thought this possibly couldn't get any worse.... |
