Dr. O -

My horse is on a 45 day course of doxy-- for lymes and I was wondering if it's OK to mix the crushed tablets with yogurt and molasses. Also, can I give him his previcox and/or bute during the 45 days or would it be too much for his stomach?

Hello Denise,
Rather than asking your question at the bottom of another's discussion, you should "Start a New Discussion". You will receive quicker and more responses that way.

There is a better topic to learn and post about your topic and you will find it at "Treatments and Medications for Horses » Antibiotics and Antimicrobials » Tetracycline, Oxytetracycline, & Doxycycline. Be sure to study the article if you have not yet. If after reviewing the article you still have questions you might see if some of the other discussions that are listed below the article answer your question.

If your question remains unanswered, you will find at the bottom of the list of already present discussions labeled: "Start New Discussion". For more on this see Help & Information » Posting Guidelines or where did my post go?. Thank you for helping us keep Horseadvice.com organized.
