I just found out that my mare is pregnant and Im not sure if I should be doing anything different. I took my horse to the vet and found out she is pregnant 14days and I have to bring her back in 2 weeks to ultrasound again to make sure there is not another one. Do mares have morning sickness like we do? I understand they wont vomit but do they feel ill? Should I worm in between my tube worming? If so what is a good paste wormer. Should add anything to her feeding? Any advice is appreciated.

Hello Angela,
Most of your questions and much more information is found at Equine Reproduction: Breeding and Foaling: Pregnant Mare Care and Nutrition. As far as we know horses do not get morning sickness.

I was wondering if you have any pictures that show the stages of the foal in pregnancy while the foal is in the womb in a normal preganancy?
What about pictures of a breech pregnancy?

Here are a few sites with some pictures that might be of interest to you:

There are also lots of foaling books and videos on the market. "Blessed are the broodmares" is a great book.
Good luck!

There is a neat fetus development timeline as follows:

http://equineestates.com/development.html

It shows the development from Day 9 through Day 320.

Check it out, I think you'll find it quite interesting.

Hello Cindy,
You will find a series of pictures of a normal birth at » Equine Reproduction » Breeding and Foaling » Normal Birth (Parturition). There are literally dozens of variations of presentations tha might result in a "breech birth". What is important is to recognize normal so that the abnormal can be identified. The article gives some brief recommendations on corrections you might attempt if presented with a breech foal.

We have a link to a good series of pictures of the developing fetus at » Equine Reproduction » Breeding and Foaling » Pregnancy Diagnosis.

Hey everyone,

Vera's right, "Blessed are the Broodmares" is an excellent book! Anyone thinking of raising a foal should have this book on hand.
