I'm not even sure where to put this question. A mare started standing with her hind legs spread laterally a few weeks after being bred. It has been getting worse and more painful as the pregnancy progresses. She had trouble standing on 3 legs for the farrier when she was 10 months pregnant. There are no other unusual signs or symptoms. Any ideas?

I would start with a good exam of the mare, her reproductive tract, and if that is all negative evaluation for EPSM.
