Not sure what to call this question...As many times as I have felt a mares bags pending delivery I have never paid attention I guess to the temp. This particular mare had mastitis 2 years ago as a maiden mare, this is her first pregnancy, taht was odd in itself but we got her taken care of and appeared to be no permanent damage. However, she is now 14 days away from her "due" date and is statrting to develope bags, neither of which are uniform and they are very warm to the touch. I am just wondering if this is normal developement I am seeing/feeling or could we be having mastitis related problems again. Just trying to be mindful of a situation that could go bad.

Thank you,

Julie

Uneven and warm might be OK as long as there is no pain.
