Hey,

Just wondering, I have my mares last ultrasound (she's 60 days today) scheduled for this weekend. And my vet said we can check to see what the sex of the fetus is, thats as long as it is positioned properly.

I thought, what the hay, it would be cool to find out. Mind you, as long as it is healthy, i don't care if it is a filly or colt. My last one was a colt, so a filly would be nice!!

Dr. O, I read the article on sexing the fetus. It mentions a couple of figures that I was hoping to look at, but they are not there?

Are they there and my browser just isn't seeing them? If not, no worries. We will look on Saturday and see what we can see.

Hello Shawna,
The article was taken from a couple of published papers on sexing fetuses and I do not have the photos I am afraid. I am away from my office this week but when I return I will see what I can find, though if your vet has digital recording capability, perhaps you can publish your own baby pictures.

Thanks DrO. I will see what my vet can do. I know she captures the ultrasounds to take back to the clinic. I will ask if we can somehow get them and I can post them.

Then we can all predict a diagnosis!
