Hi,
I have heard (although admittedly don't know if there is any truth in this) that you can use a stallion to tease a mare into heat early. I didn't think so, but?
If so, can you use a pony stallion?
Thanks

Hello Laura,
Mares and not teased into heat. They are always cycling whether there is a stallion or not. However the way a mares acts in heat does change with the stallions prescense making it easier to tell when they are getting ready to ovulate. Usually mares will show to pony stallions just as well as big guys, but there may be exceptions.
