Why do we not hear of a pregnancy test kit for horses similar to the one humans use ( urine test ) surely their hormones change too.

Yes but in different ways so the human products might not be useful in horses. It will require someone funding some fairly expensive independent research and product development.

This would be a great idea, But, there are benefits to the conventional testing like spoting a twin. If you just let a horse get on with the pregnancy and have not discovered that ther are twins you can be in for great dissapointment.
My mare is all for your idea though, you should have seen her face when the vet shoved his arm with the ultrasound up her butt! and she was slightly sedated!!!
