In November 2000 we adopted two wild mustangs. The first one Zeus, was almost two years old and the second one, Lonnie was only 7 months old. They were kept in adjoining stalls and always put out to pasture together. Now we are in the process of trying to gentle Zeus and he does really well on the lounge line and even allows us to climb up on his back ---- UNTIL the younger one calls to Zeus and then off Zeus runs to the area where the younger mustang is. He has thrown people who have beeen in the saddle, broken his halter and lounge lines to get back to the younger mustang. He rears up and there's just NO controlling him. These are both gelded horses but the separation anxiety awful. Please offer some suggestions. Thanks in advance.

I would take Lonnie off the farm until you have Zeus better trained. If typical they will holler and run about for 3 days then settle back down.
