I have ridden in peacock stirrups for several years. I recall that you need a finger width between your foot and the side of the iron.My problem is that I like the gritty pad which only comes in size 4.25 or 4.75. I wear a size 4.5. Presently I squeeze the larger size pad into the peacock iron and it pops out until broken in. I would like to purcahse a new iron . Is it dangerous to ride english hunter jumper in a larger iron.
