I have a 14 y.o. paint gelding who does this funky snake move w/ his head when he canters - both in the pasture and under saddle. He drops his head quickly (almost like he's peanut rolling), then cocks his head and whips his neck/head up. Does it on both leads, in the pasture w/ and w/ out a halter on, on the longe line, and when I'm riding him. I'm thinking it's just a bad habit but wanted some feedback on how to correct this when I'm longing/riding...any suggestions or others with a similar problem?

Many thanks...LB
