Would anyone have any experience with a good software for tracking training and conditioning information? I'm more interested in being able to keep info like heart rates, temps, length of work, type of work, etc. rather than pedigrees, etc. I don't need invoicing options. Has anyone used Equifacts before by chance?

Hi Dawn; you're not getting any replies. How do you keep track of this info now? If you can't find a program that meets your needs, maybe you could adapt a spreedsheet or make your own?

I'd like to add to your question and ask people's opinions about horse tracking programs for vet and farrier work, etc. I don't need the billing options, but would like to be organized and keep easier to locate/read/keep records of feed, illness, farrier work, etc.

I use a spreadsheet in Google Docs. That has the advantage that I can update it anywhere there is a computer, and view it on my mobile phone.

I'd be curious as to what functions are wanted that are not in a spreadsheet.

I use Excel. Mind you I only have a few horses.
What I do is open a new sheet for each horse. If you are not familiar with Excel when you open the program you have a spreadsheet, at the bottom of the page is a tab, clicking that tab will open another sheet. This makes the program very similar to using a paper notebook, just flip the page for each horse.
I label the sheet with the horses name.
Each sheet can have a gazillion rows and you can add or delete rows as you want them.
I make categories: Feed, Vet, Worming, Accessories(can't bring myself to call it clothing) Farrier, etc with just a few rows, then if I need more rows in that category I add them.
I label the columns by month, if I need to I can add a column for more entries of a particular item in the same month.
I learned how to use formulas so each column will automatically do the addition when I add new entries.
I save each 'book' by year.
I havent done it for a while but I am pretty sure you can add notes or memos if you want to make a note about something.
Or you could just add another sheet and use that sheet as a notebook page.
How much info do you want to track?

OK, will admit for a minute I got excited thinking maybe there was a big need for a new piece of software... alas as usual, it's been done before.
Not sure if this is what you are looking for but I found this with a quick search:

Hey maybe I should go ahead and develop something anyway....
