Hi Dr. O. I have just purchased a 2 year old morgan gelding. Everyone seems to be commenting on his eyes. His left eye is perfectly round and the sclera is kind of prominent, giving him a scared look. The right eye also has scleral show, but is less so, with more brown filling the eye. The eye is round, but there is more brown in this eye. Can you tell me if this is a congenital defect or will his eyes horizontally fill in as he grows? Is this an indication of some type of disease or problem with his eyes down the road?

Thank you.

Lori

If this is how he appears all the time I would expect this to remain and don't associate this with any disease.
