My horse used to be very well behaved while leading. Since her pasture mates have left she has started to resist going to certain areas. She will raise her head and start trying to cross in front of me to turn us around. To me she seems scared instead of trying to dominate. What I have been doing is turning her all the way around and making another go at it. Sometimes she seems so upset I just give up and make her work going the other direcion. Am I letting her win by doing this even if we end on a good note? Any suggestions on how to make her obey without getting her more upset?

Hello Mindy,
If the problem is preventing the horse going forward I would use a chain shank over the nose to correct the behavior. See the article on teaching to lead for details.
