Charles,

See my post to Sue on equine contracts. If you are worried about being sued (i.e. have something to lose), you will want check in with a lawyer on this.

Do it yourself contracts, wills, etc. are usually as good as what you paid for them if they are tested in court.

Cheers.

I deal with Fry's Equine Insurance. I have a bunch of policies with them and have found them to be terriffic. When I was looking for a policy, I conducted a fairly in-depth investigation. I had so many questions and they were the only company who took the time to answer every one to my satisfaction.

When I had a claim to file, they were right on top of it. I have been very pleased with their service. They have responded to every single one of my e-mails.

Hope this information is helpful to you. By the way, if you are interested in a mortality/major medical/surgical policy and want some good input as to what to ask about, let me know and I'll be happy to give you the benefit of my research!
