I bought what I thought was a true blue roan mare in Nov. I checked her over very well including mane and tail hairs to look for white(which I did not see) She only had a white spot in the middle of her forhead. After bringing her home a few months later she really started to get alot of gray hairs on head and I noticed on her ankle. I looked under her tail and from the tail bone out about 4" was a growth of white hair. I believe it has been dyed and misrepresented. I paid 4500 for this horse because of her color I already had a gray. What I am wanting to know is there a reasonable place to have the hair tested to see if it has been dyed? It would have to stand up in court as I have met another lady who bought a blue roan from her also that she believes she chemically treated her also. I would love to get my money back and keep her from doing this to anyone else. I am attatching a photo of this horses tail. If anyone has any information please let us know. email Tam Kelm trailpal@theramp.net

You might consult a local hair dresser?
