Hi
I am looking into reporting my prepurchasing vet to the college because the xrays he took of the feet are "below diagnostic standard" in otherwords you could not rule out navicular with the views that were taken and yet he documented there was not navicular when clearly there was....8 months later severe navicular cycts were found in this horse and clinically intermittently lame days after the initial vetting

any recommendations on a third party witness to view these xrays for additional opinon. I have them on my computer....

Thanks
Jenna

Hello Jenna,
You should send them to a radiologist at a veterinary school or referral veterinary hospital. Field radiographs would not be expected to meet the same standard of those taken in a hospital setting but they should understand that and would be able to advise you.
