Four months ago I ran into serious financial trouble and a friend said she would take my two horses while I got back on my feet. No contract was signed but we decided she would use one of the horses for her school and try to sell him the other horse is kept on pasture only. I am now back on my feet and I am ready to move the horses to where I can use them again. She has been competing with my thoroughbred and winning a great deal and now she says I owe her $250.00 for everymonth they were there and she won't let them leave the property until she has the money. Does anyone have any suggestions?

What about the money she has been winning on your horse? Can you find out how much?

She surely is not a friend in the first place, which you already know.

Don't have an answer for this problem. I would also like to know what can be done.

Hello Peggy,
You need to contact a lawyer.
