I was born and raised around horses, got away from them in my teens after losing my Appy. to colic. I just recently (15 years later) purchased an 8 year old Paint. I'm real excited to revolve my life around horses again and I'm considering purchasing a two week old colt. I visited a ranch in Northern California where I was able to see the Fathering Stud. He's a beautiful Tennessee Walking Paint. His coat is absolutely georgeous, champagne in color with a touch of white & he has a black mane and tale. I viewed a training video of the 4 year old Father involving an obstacle course that was simply amazing. The mare is Tobiano in color and not quite as striking. The price for the colt is $3,500 & I just wanted to get feedback on whether the price is fair considering the age of the colt & to also find out the benefits of a gaited horse. Thanks!

Hello nswamy,
I am afraid we cannot judge that from here. Value is a relative thing and different for everyone. Concerning the benefits, I consider the gaited breeds to be the natural trail horse and anyone riding something else just hasn't come around yet.
