I'm curious about how quickly vision develops in foals. I have a 7 day old that appears to just follow any chestnut (mom is a chestnut). I'm wondering how well they can distinguish objects. I've noticed that both foals react to shadows at night, but not during the day (like shadows from a full moon)

This has not been studied kbrooks but foals seem to have pretty good vision.
