Hi Aileen, there is some information on it in the derotating founder section https://www.horseadvice.com/horse/messages/4/18321.html

Thank you Diane! Farrier's coming tomorrow and I seem to have lost the copy I printed a few weeks ago. I hope all is well with you and your herd. I've been busy so I'll have to catch up on the board next week when the boss is gone... lol

We often remove flare and abnormal white line from foundered horses and this could roughly be called rolling the toe. Also a rocker forms during the derotation as the thin sole of the toe is rotated off the ground. But I am slow to say you rock and roll the toe of a foundered horse. To be honest I am uncertain we have any good pictures and descriptions of the process. I will stick it on my to do list. In the meantime you might try our sister site on farrier concerns: https://www.horseshoes.com/. DrO
