Hi

I have several weanlings that I want to give the double dose of Strongid P for tapeworms. I usually worm for tapes in between my regular 8 week ivermectin or Quest( never to foals less than 4 months old) in November when I am estimating the weight of these guys are about 450 lbs. Now they are bigger because I have waited a few months extra to dose them with this. My question is- I would like to give them each a tube and a half of Strongid P to be safe for the heavier ones who might need more than a tube for 2X dose, and am wondering if this is too much? I also do not replace a worming of ivermectin with strongid, this is in addition to worming every eight weeks with ivermectin.

Thanks,

Katherine

Katherine if you are uncertain about their weight you should take a weight tape to them, use the number of the tape double it, and then add 10%. Deworm them for this weight. This should be safe and effective.
