I have read your article, and am very suspicious of our herd and would like to knock out what they have and revamp the worming schedule. There are a few horses I am very suspicious of and do not want to risk complications from a large parasite unloading.

From your article: Begin with a ½ dose of a good quality benzimadazole paste dewormer like Panacur or Anthelcide or a ½ dose of a pyrantel based dewormer like Strongid paste.
If the horse tolerates this well for 7 days you can give a whole dose of the dewormer.
If the horse tolerates this well for 7 days give a ½ dose of ivermectin based dewormer.
If the horse tolerates this well for the following week give a whole dose of ivermectin based dewormer.

When you say "for 7 days" do you mean continue to give a 1/2 dose of the aforementioned product for 7 days, or wait 7 days and then go to the next step?

Thanks Dr O. I realized after re-reading the language of your article that you were speaking more about new arrivals who you have no history on or a rescue case etc. All of our horses have been on a steady worming rotation of Ivermectin and SafeGuard, rotating each worming. Some (not all) have experienced weight loss and yet have been getting a LOT of roughage and proper nutrition. Many are in growth spurts (young horses <2 or 3). I decided a Panacur series should be safe for all of them. I just want to knock out anything that might be lingering, in case parasites were the problem and to give a fresh start to a new worming rotation schedule. None of the horses are DEBILITATED with worms, and all handle a regular worming just fine. It's just been on a longer rotation than I feel comfortable with after reading your article. After doing this, there are 2 horses I'm concerned with tapes on--how long should I wait to worm all the horses--1 month? Should I make their next worming a Strongid tape double dose or leave that for a while longer? What about the rest of the horses? None of my boarders are comfortable with the idea of Quest, so I'll need to use your other schedule, I think.

A month should be fine and I would do everyone at the same time: it controls the parasites better.
