Our one and a half month old colt had his testies DrOpped by 2 weeks of age. At that time he was urinating OK. Now I notice when he DrOps to urinate the pee is projected backwards behind his hind legs. Upon looking it looks as if the foreskin on the back of his penis is attached to the head and is causing it to point backwards. It is just about a 1" section and doesn't seem to cause any discomfort. If this doesn't resolve itself could I have the vet do a mini circumcision at the time I have him castrated or do you think I should have something done now? The only problem I can forsee is there possibly being an opening for bacteria collecting under the attached area(if there is an opening)or embarrassment later in life for peeing like a girl.

Actually Kat,
It is normal for foals to be DrOpped when born, however the testes are so small and close to the body most folks don't notice them until months later. If your problem is what is occurring that sounds like a ideal solution and between now and then just keep a watch for irritation.
