My horse has a gum injury which left the root of the 4/6 tooth (lower tooth just behind bit) exposed and as a result the tooth has abcessed and will probably need to be pulled.

Since I ride dressage which requires bit contact, can you give me an idea of the problems I will be facing. I would think the bit would be crooked in his mouth and it would cause problems.

I'm hoping I am wrong.

No I don't think there should be any problem, bit contact refers to the bars, the fleshy corners of the mouth, and should not contact the teeth.
