The barn where my pregnant mare is wants me to change over with them to a new way of vaccinating. They have some research that shows boosting the immune system without injecting killed or whatever parts of the disease is supposed to be better. I am worried about this. I would have said no way immediately, but my mare always reacts to flu rhino and strangles. So, I asked them to do tetanus, rabies, and Eastern and Western Encephalomyelitis the old fashioned way. I am also worried about Equine Herpes Virus type 1. Not decided on that one.
Any information on this, and do you think I am doing the right thing, Dr. O?

Alicia most likely you are correct but without knowing exactly what they are doing I cannot comment: what exactly are they using and how are they using it?
