Discussion on Check with your Veterinarian Universities for prices on Necropsies. You might find out they are very cheap.

I did'nt think I would be able to afford a Necropsy done on my horse till my vet called Purdue DDL ( Disease Diagnostic Laboratory ) at Purdue University in Lafayette, In. She called me back and told me a Necropsy was $50.00 and a Legal Necropsy was $100.00
The Doctor at Purdue told me if I were to get the same Legal Necropsy done somewhere else it would have cost me $1000.00 or more. It's cheaper there because the students are learning at the same time.
