I found a the best shedding tool ever. It is called the Shed Flower by Epona and costs $5 at most tack stores. It is just a simple looking 6 petal plastic flower shape with tiny serrations at the bottom. If a friend hadn't had one, I never would have tried it because it doesn't look like it would work. But boy does it. It loosens the hair and combs it out and you can vary the pressure and use it on all the sensitive parts your horse. I've bought several for friends of mine and they all love it too.
