After reading about Big Brown and all his hoof problems I wanted to learn more about his shoes. I found this video that I thought I'd share. Very interesting! I've become a fan of leaving horses barefoot over the last few years. Initially for economic reasons and, as time went on, because I believe it's better for a horse's feet. I have to admit, though, that I still believe there are certain situation that require shoes and not all horses are barefoot candidates. What a great option when shoes become a necessity. At least it's a great option for those of us with an extra $550 laying around every 6 weeks. Maybe they'll be able to reduce the amount of time it takes to put them on and make them available for the average horse owner in the future. https://therail.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/04/23/what-about-his-hooves-heres-your-ans wer/

You ever just get facinated with something and have to know more?? Here's another one that's just as impressive by the same person. I guess the majority of his business is repairing damaged hooves. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sx5gU1K7KtQ

i watched both videos I am so impressed with the concussion this shoe takes on.. I emailed them to ask if they make a reg. dressage nail on shoe.. if so i will order a pair to see how they do on my gelding.. I am into trying.. thanks for the link.. On the first day God created horses, on the second day he painted them with spots..
