  Discussion on Arena Mirrors

I am considering putting up some mirrors in my arena. Does anyone have experience with mirrors? I have looked at a few websites and the cost is more than I can handle, especially the acrylic type. You can buy 3'X4' 3/4 inch thick glass mirrors at Menards for $40 each, vs $500 for 4X8 acrylic mirrors.

The wall I am considering putting them on is behind a half wall and is not assessable to the horses. Do you see any problem with using several 3X4 glass mirrors that are butted up against each other? It would be much less expensive and given they are 3/4" thick there should not be any distortion.

My husband is experienced at putting up mirrors and has offered his services for free!

I also have a notice out on Craig's list looking for used mirrors.

Thanks for any advice you can give!

Don't have place for mirrors here. But a friend of mine did and they really helped her! But you have to be prepared to See how you really ride! LOL. I was not a pretty sight! But they did help point out what I was doing, like falling over to the right! Sigh!
