Hi
Please does anyone know if the rubbery soft hoof that covers a foal's feet at birth then wears away have a proper name? Its for farriery exam and I have searched every textbook I have!Thanks

Don't panic yes it does. But that first time you see it, you think oh NO.

It is that way so that it doesn't tear the sack or mom. God planned it that way :-)
