We fence our pasture with twisted wire (no barbs) as top and bottom "rails" and a single strand of electric wire in the middle. This works well for both tall and short animals. Although our herd knows the boundaries, we'd like the added assurance of fencing that's visible. We've attached short strips of yarn and flagging tape and rags at short intervals, but the wind eventually pushes them up against the closest post. We might be able to cover those top and bottom wires with "sleeves" designed for high tensile fence visibility, but maybe some of you out there have better ideas or at least more economical ones. We're fine with stringing something else to our fence posts, as long as the material can take the weather and prolonged exposure to the sun. Photos not required but welcome if it helps to illustrate your idea.

I think having something more visable is a good idea. How about a strand of that electric mesh tape that is about 2" wide? Since you already have a strand of electric wire that's working, you wouldn't have to connect the tape. How long a roll does that plastic or fiberglass mesh you mend beach chairs come in? Bet it would work. It's about 2" wide and comes in different colors.

I tie a strip of flagging tape to the top wire - making the strip long enough to tie to the wire under it - wind doesn't move it - I use the Hot Rope fencing which is pretty visible alone but when I put up a new fence I want to be sure they see it. https://www.horse.com has permanent fence markers that should stay put - they are rigid white plastic - think they are in the shape of a horse head. Pretty inexpensive.
