My horse is going to turn 9 next month. She is a quarter/draft cross. I got insurance on her for the first time last year. It was mortality plus $7500 major/medical. It is now time to renew and they are no longer offering the $7500. They have either a $10,000 or $15,000 major/medical plan. My premium is going up from last year because of the higher limits. I did not have to use the insurance last year. The premium difference is a matter of paying an extra $100 for the $15,000 limit on top of the higher premium. Is it worth it? Or would the $10,000 coverage be sufficient? Any thoughts?
