I am always looking for new ideas to help my horses and donkeys deal with wet weather. I came across an article that stated that brushing linseed oil on the hoofs will help to repel moisture. Thoughts?

Thanks Dr. O. I suppose I second guess myself and do appreciate you sending me to the correct forum.

I have been using organic linseed oil on the walls and soles of my mares for approximately 3 weeks and it's really working. This is supposed to be our dry season here, but so far we've received rain 4 days out of 7. I love the way the hoof soaks the oil up. So far, so good. Oh, and I buy from Puritan. Take care.
