Hello. My overweight easy-keeper is on a diet, and he is beginning to slowly lose weight (a very good thing). Right now, with the snow on the ground, it's easy to control his forage intake. But in the Spring/Summer he is turned-out on grass pasture about 10 hours/day, so I have a question about that (since once he loses the weight, I don't want him to add it back on). Is it better to use a grazing muzzle in this instance (he's never worn one, and it gets very hot here), or to keep the grass pasture cut very very short to make him work harder to get his fill? Just curious on opinions of one over the other... Thanks!

I vote for the muzzle.
