In the fall I bought a mare of unknown age.
About three months ago, late Nov, early Dec she lost her top two intermidiates, so I thought she was three 1/2. The replacement teeth were already showing as the old teeth came out.
This week she is losing her corners, but now she is gumming her hay (joke) because there are no teeth coming through yet.
Is this normal? Would she be late losing her three yr teeth or early with her four yr olds.
While this is not a critical issue, at this age a year does make a difference in how I would ride her, and ask her to do. I wouldn't ask a three yr old to do more than trot poles but I would start jumping a four yr old.
Thanks
