Do you have any new information about worming horses diagnosed with EPM? There is much discussion about avoiding ivermectrin.

There still are no published epidemiological connections nor case studies that I have seen. Neither can I think of a logical connections with what we know about Sarcocystis neurona pathophysiology and ivermectin.

You avoid using ivermectin at great risk to your horse. This would be a bit like avoiding the sun while driving by closing your eyes: you miss the real danger, for more see, Equine Diseases » Colic and GI Diseases » Weight Loss in Horses » Larval Cyathostominosis.
