  Discussion on Venice Turpentine
Author Message

Posted on Thursday, Sep 14, 2000 - 11:30 am:

I have been using venice turpentine on my horses feet since the farrier cut them too short (about 2 weeks ago). It seems to be working fairly well and he is almost better. However, when I put the venice turpentine on I put it on the whole underside of the foot including the frog. I have been told that this can cause damage. It doesn't look to me like there has been any damage done. He also has a purple bruise on the outside of the hoof wall. I have asked the owner not to turn him out in the rain but he goes out anyway :(

What can I do?? I feel terrible.

Hello Sarah,
Don't worry you have not hurt this horse.
