Just haveing gotton into Dressage enough to have spent an ugly amount of money on a new saddle I was pretty urked when the white rubber pad on my stirrups made marks on the saddle when I raised them for lungeing or storage, SOoooo....

Take 2 large Saran brand "Quick Covers" - these are for covering dishes and have elastic sides that kinda look like plastic shower caps- with your finger nails pull a loop of the elastic out oppisite the seam side. Work the loop out about 1 1/2 to 2 inches and then tie in a knot to reduce the size of the opening. Now raise your stirrups and slip these over each one to prevent them from scuffing your saddle.
