I use a short dog leash to grab when I go in to my stalls to keep the door closed. Our wind can get pretty bad here. So when I go in the stall I grab the leash and close the door and it stays closed while I am working with the horses. I also have a clip on it so the horses can not let themselves out. I use a short one because to long and the snow or rain from dragging the ground gets it wet. the rope in the door also keeps the door shut when that nasty winds blows.
Happy Trails,
Wanda
