  Discussion on Fatal, variant rhinopneumonitis?
Author Message

Posted on Wednesday, May 15, 2002 - 5:16 pm:

There is a message circulating the internet today about a variant of rhino that surfaced in Virginia. According to the note, it followed the normal course of rhino, but then enters the central nervous system, paralyzes and kills the horse. The course of the illness is 2-3 weeks. It is apparently resistant to the vaccine.

Has anyone heard anything about this? Or is it a hoax?
