Hi everyone,
Guess this could be part of my posts on Toy Moon (now at 274 days) the mastitis ect.
She's still full bagged, waxes, drips, waxes again. Her edema is about gone and tests show all is normal...in fact the 'width' of her belly seems less now than just yesterday...still as low as it's been, but not as wide...my vet was here to see her this morning and he noticed it too...I hope that may be a good sign...maybe her rolling yesterday while she was laying down re-positioned her foal?
Anyway... I don't have any of those foal predictor kits that you use to test milk for calcium levels.
I had read somewhere you can do that type of a test using stuff you may have in your house...does anyone here know how to test calcuim levels in the mare's milk without using a kit?
I'd like to do this ASAP, and my vet said he doesn't know how to do it...
any ideas?
Thanks so much gals & Dr.O.
