Discussion on Edema in Corpora Nigra?

Greetings, all.
Two weeks ago I arrived at the barn to find Contessa's left eye swollen, but without any discharge. The vet came out to examine her and found nothing unusual, save for a slight cloudiness in the corpora nigra. Treatment twice daily of banamine and a non-steroidal triple antibiotic ointment had the eye looking normal after a couple of days. Yesterday the eye was once again swollen, but nothing odd about the corpora nigra was visible. The eye itself, however, was slightly cloudy compared to the other. There was no discharge.

Today, I noticed that the swelling of the eyelids had gone down somewhat, but the corpora nigra had parts that were red. My vet was immediately phoned, and suspects that her initial eye trauma from two weeks ago resulted in an adhesion of the iris that has now turned into edema. Could this be anything else? I have posted photographs of the eye taken both today and the 15th of February: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dawnnbret/sets/72157594567977586/
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Dawn could you post the photo in the discussion rather than create a link? We have problems over time with such links becoming inactive. For help with this see, Help & Information ยป Uploading Images and Files Into a Posting.

The corpora look pretty normal. I do see the red circumscribed area amoung the other corpora. And if this is new may represent hemmorage. But this is all small potatoes compared to the cloudy lens (behind the corpora). Since you do not mention this, is this an artifact of the lighting?

I believe it's a result of the camera flash/lighting, although there was slight clouding the day prior to when this photo was taken.
