Hello, I had a vet look at my horse on the weekend, she is also a practicing Chiropractor. My horse had been carrying his tail to the left since last summer, no real back pain, but just something funny. The Vet thinks his Tuber Ischii is broken/fractured, and you can see when behind him, his butt is pointy on the right side, but on the left it is much rounder and not so much definition.
Anyone have any experience with this, my vet said was very rare. She was not sure how it would affect him over time, he's not lame, but sometimes I feel he's not coordinated in the hind end. I'm very sad, he's only just coming 5, we only just started.

Without seeing this Karen, I don't know but sounds more like muscle atrophy and deinnervation on the left side. This type and location of atrophy is pretty common.

The muscle atropy on the right makes the skeletal system of the pelvis more evident (pointy) and the deinnervation of the muscles on the right result in a dominance of the muscles on the left which pulls the tail over to the left. With just one side effected this may be secondary to a traumatic episode.
