Discussion on Melanoma in Pregnant Mare

I have just found out that a pregnant mare, 15 yrs. old, that I bought has 2 melanomas on her. One is the size of the tip of your finger, the other pea sized. Both are under her tail. Do I do anything to them now, or wait until after foaling? She was pasture bred so I am not sure of foaling dates, though it is supposed to be early June. Also, if I elect not to have them removed, is it safe to give her the Cimetidine while she is pregnant or lactating?
Also, I live in South Georgia. Is there a need to start putting her in the barn during the day and letting her out to graze at night? She is a pasture horse, and is in a pasture with plenty of shade.
I am a little embarrassed about buying the horse with the melanomas. The only way I found out about them is a lady that had looked at her before I purchased her was told about them by the seller. He didn't tell me about them. Buyer Beware!!
Any help, most certainly appreciated.
Thanks, Connie P.

Though probably safe, this is not certain. These may be very slow growing or static, so I would wait until after weaning unless they are growing at a noticable rate.
