Can anyone tell me what plants and trees are poisonous in Oregon

Leona, if you're in W. Ore. I'm sure you have tansy ragwort, which will grow in pastures and newly cleared areas. It's not immediately deadly, and it's not palatable, but toxicity can build up. It's a biennial plant with yellow flowers.

Also, bracken fern, which some horses love, can have some neurological effects if horses eat enough of it over a long period.

You can control both in your pastures by mowing and pulling (if you have just a few invaders).

Look for an online field guide for pictures or call your county extension agent and ask about noxious weeds, or ask your vet. Ornamental plants are more troublesome, especially red maple.
