Hello,

I was wondering if there is any sort of a national database that lists the number of EIA cases (positive Coggins) nationally? I'm trying to answer a question asked by a 4H member that I didn't know the answer to. She wanted to know how many horses in our state (WI) test positive for EIA each year. Our state's website doesn't say and before I call the state vet's office, I was wondering if I could find the info. online somewhere. Or if it's not available by state, is there a national incidence report somewhere?

Thanks a bunch.

Yes, you can find lots of information on USDA website. This link takes you directly to the maps detailing EIA positives for 2003:

Thanks a bunch, that was exactly what I was looking for. I had gone to the USDA site, but somehow I hadn't found those maps.

Thanks again
