i have a 4 yr old mare-stiffle lock up in left leg she can release it but when she turn sidewys she drags the leg.the other one shows sign of locking. it started last year ,she would have problems worked her on hills,sanddy aera, but now is having problems again.she is ingood shape and weighs about 1140.what kind of shoeing can be done and is there a supplement that can help too

Welcome julia,
Back up one page and we have both shoeing and medication recommendation treatments for stifle lock (UFP). I would note that from your description the severity suggests you have a good chance of requiring surgery and we are currently recommending the ligament splitting procedure covered in the article.
